First round of the MotoE World Championship at the Le Mans circuit in France: Krummenacher scores a third and seventh place
Thr first two races of the new era of the MotoE World Championship played out today at the French circuit. This is the first time riders are competing in the electric series aboard the Ducati V21L. After competing in yesterday's two free practice sessions, Krummenacher set the fourth fastest time in qualifying, a 1’41.480, which was enough to secure a spot on the second row of the grid. In today's first race, which saw the lights go out at 12:20 local time, the Swiss rider, who is competing for Team Dynavolt Intact GP, powered the Ducati V21L to the third step of the rostrum, his fastest time a 1’41.521.
Race two got underway at 17:10 local time, with Krummenacher crossing the line seventh after setting a best lap of 1’40.748.
A challenging opening weekend but one that also brought some strong results for Krummenacher
#RK3: “This was my first MotoE world championship weekend and I have to say that the more I ride this bike the more I like it. I don't have much experience in the electric category yet of course but I think I have a good base on which to build, together with my team, so that we continue to improve. The Ducati V21L is a bike with great potential and we'll do our best to exploit it. While I was able to score third in race 1, I had a few more problems in race 2 and had to settle for seventh place. The next round is at Mugello, a track I like and know well, and so I am confident we'll be able to take a step forward. I want to thank Team Dynavolt Intact GP for their professionalism and hard work.”
